Maksimir
Maksimir is one of the neighborhoods of the city of Zagreb, Croatia. Maksimir Stadium and Maksimir Park are located in it.
The Maksimir Park is the largest park within city limits of Zagreb, encompassing five lakes. It also contains the Zagreb Zoo (Zoolo- ški vrt grada Zagreba), a 7-hectare (17-acre) zoo opened on June 27, 1925. Currently, the zoo is home to 2225 animals repre- senting 275 species, including snow leopard, red panda Okapi, Addax, Scimitar Oryx, North China leopard, Common Chimpanzee, Diana Monkey, Wisent, Pygmy Hippopotamus, and Bactrian Camel.
