Here
is my Easter 2013 message:
The
stories about Jesus might not be true, but never mind that, since
they are nice and comforting.
No,
wait. Actually, forget it.- I’m not so soft atheist. I’ve
tried to be agnostic (only), to enjoy intellectual confrontations
with religious- type-philosophers, but the behavior of the Catholic
church drives me "militant": I would like to
excommunicate all Catholics, well, their hierarchy primarily. I’m
almost sure Jesus did not teach "no boy’s behind left"
which is so common practice of the Catholic preachers.
While
it is true that, at least up to today, science and reason are not
solely sufficient to explain and guide our mind (and soul (?), I’m
open minded here), we’ll do much better service to ourselves as
species, one of the many Earth’s species, if we disrespect any
and all dogmatic thoughts, religion being the outmost example of
them.
OK,
related to Easter, let the resurrection be what it is said to be.
But the Jesus being might have yet another riddle: was Jesus’
conception sexual or asexual? Could it be that Jesus’ conception
was not optimally beneficial (see on the right)? |
