In
The CIA World Factbook 2013, were informa- tion about 195
countries (generally available as of June 2012) is laid out, the
presentation of Croatia in comparison to the world gives some
interesting insights:
Croatia
is a small country by its area and popula- tion - but roughly one
third of the 195 presented countries is smaller than Croatia, both
by area and population.
Croatia’s
net migration rate is not alarming (altho the migrants age structure
could be so) - but Croatia’s total fertility rate is clearly
alarming.
Croatia
has higher GDP and GDPppp than two thirds of the world counties -
but Croatia’s GDP real growth rate is currently among the worst in
the world.
Most
of the Croatia’s economic and related para- meters (like
transportation and communications) are in line with its GDP - but
its industrial produc- tion growth rate is troublesome.
Croatia
keeps inflation under control, better than 88% of the world - but
its Gini index is worse than 64% of the world.
GDPppp
- a nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) at purchasing power
parity (ppp) exchange rates is the sum value of all goods and
services produced in the country valued at prices prevailing in the
United States in the year noted.
