The drought of 2012 is on the way. Droughts have struck food-producing regions in the United States, Canada, Russia, China, Brazil, India, North Korea, and South Korea, raising the prospect of higher commodity prices and localized food shortages. Will information age handle the situation satisfactorily? Every civilization has its own distribution of power as between classes, races, religions, geographic regions. In the dangerous times, like food shortages - the most dangerous, are the poor and oppressed going to stay that way?
