From a very informed source on Croatian government, an enlightenment story:

The members of Croatian cabinet are initiated like it’s a secret personhood (brotherhood and/or sisterhood). After being called "Take the oath", the initiate approaches the Prime Minister who has crossed the left hand fingers above the leather bound Croatian Constitution.

"Do you seriously declare on your honor, uninfluenced by social or any other unworthy motive, that you freely and voluntarily offer yourself as a candidate for the benefits and the privileges and the power abuse of this cabinet?"

"I do", the power and wealth thirsty initiate replays. The Prime Minister hands over a thick envelope:" Then let this initiation bribery be a sting to your consciousness".

Unfortunately for them, the secrecy has been somewhat spoiled recently. Unfortunately for those they govern, Croatian Constitution does not specify how many cabinet members have to be jailed for the Prime Minister to be forced to resign. It looks that EU has not regulated that subject either. And if you try to criticize the Prime Minister, she has a unique answer: "If I resign now, Croatia will not join EU in 2011 and Pope will not visit Croatia in 2011".
