Michigan : use tax

The care which the state of Michigan takes about your out-of-state behavior is impressive but still calls for some refinements. For instance, in many foreign countries there is a fee for public restrooms usage. Although the products of the usage are not brought into the state of Michigan, at least not directly, some sort of reciprocity in the individual taxation should be estab- lished. An adequately adjusted gross income could, with properly regulated exemptions and/or exemption allowances, make the rightness. Further improvements could be incorporated by recognizing losses attributable to frequent restroom usage; however, it is probably unnecessary to relate the products to refundable credits and SS benefits. Of course, senior citizens and people who are paraplegic, hemiplegic, quadriplegic, blind, deaf, or totally and permanently disabled or unremarried spouse of an individual 65 or older should be differentiated from the general claimants.
