Canada, my two and a half postdoctoral years in Canada that is, are among my most precious memories. Not only that I was young and energetic then, late 60's, but Canadian nature was my real home: camping, canoeing and portaging, skiing and snow-shoes walking, several hundreds of color slides on Canadian nature. So, when I see a picture like one below, it breaks my heart.
