The annual Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), published since 1995 by Transparency International (TI: http://www.transparency.org), is cited by the world's media as the leading measure of perceptions regarding corruption. The CPI ranks countries by perceived levels of corruption among public officials. The graphs below extract the data from 2001 to 2007 on Balkan, North Europe, G8 and Pacific Rim countries, for a comparison. The perception of total absence of corruption is valued as 10.
