Summer
days at Grabov Rat :
This
summer, when I arrived to Grabov Rat just a couple of days after
the summer solstice, my gardening hours were from five to nine
(nine thirty at most, DST) in the morning - I could not stand the Sun
after that. Now, as fall equinox is approaching, it is quite dark at five and I don’t start
before six but I can work till ten or even ten thirty. Gardening
has increased my awareness of the Sun movement.
The
table below was assembled for Grabov Rat (160
40' E, 430
16' N) using US Naval Observatory Astronomical Applications
software (http://aa.usno.navy.mil).
Two days were selected: the summer solstice (Jun 21, 2006) and the
fall equinox (Sep. 23, 2006).
